Phase One: Discovery Session
We will begin working together by reviewing your new or existing space. Then, we will discuss your business type and how the space can function for your staff and customers. During this session, we will discuss the following topics:
Staff vs. Public Space
These areas are discussed in-depth to help us guide you on where to spend the forefront of your budget.
Branding and Company Values
We will review and implement your brand into the design to show your company’s unique aspects. This is more than colors and logo! It is all about how you want your customers to feel when visiting your space! Do you want them to feel comfortable in a more casual atmosphere? Or, instead, a more traditional space that reflects establishment and professionalism? Getting to the core of your company values determines how the space should feel and come across to all who visit.
Functionality
We will review your daily task and how you function in your current space. We will discuss what is working and what could be improved. We will also discuss what furniture and equipment you will be bringing from your existing space, if applicable.
Your Ideal Client or Customer
You know your customers best! We will consider demographics and your type of business to create a more cohesive design experience that is tailored to you and your customers.
Phase Two: The Design
Our job as designers is to make sure that starting from the ground up, your space looks amazing and functions for you and your business. Starting at the beginning with materials, we will help guide you to the perfect selections based upon budget, aesthetic, and function.
Furniture Sourcing
Commercial grade furniture is recommended in most commercial applications. Commercial furniture is extremely customizable and is focused on durability to ensure the product is going to last through years of customer wear and tear. We will review each individual piece of furniture needed and the specifics of each item during our process.
Additional Considerations
All commercial spaces will have to apply to ADA compliance. We recommend getting a designer involved at the very beginning of your project to work alongside your architect in charge of planning. This eliminates back-and-forth changes during the construction process.
