A Buyer's Guide for Home Appliances
It has never been more important to select your appliance in advance.
Yes, you read that right! It has never been more important to select your appliances way in advance for your upcoming project. My clients and I have been told by many suppliers that appliances can take anywhere from 16 to 18 months to arrive, with trim kits taking up to 24 months. Yes, it can take almost two full years to receive your appliances from the time you place the order!
That being said, I wanted to create a Buyer’s Guide for Appliances to help streamline your selection process!
As you know, appliances come in many varieties. Today, I will be sharing some of my favorite brands, from most affordable to most expensive.
Frigidaire
Frigidaire appliances are a great choice for many reasons! First, they are fingerprint resistant, meaning they will look incredible and are easy to clean. Also, they offer customization options that can give you a more decorative look. It is important to select all appliances from this brand, should you choose, so that the finish matches across your different appliances.
Sharp
Sharp is another great choice for appliances, especially in their gorgeous stainless steel finish. Sharp offers many choices for cooktop and oven combination appliances, as well as refrigerators with a countertop depth. These different options allow your kitchen to be more customized and unique to your home.
Thor
Thor appliances are what I recommend to clients who are looking for the most “bang for their buck.” They have so many amazing options at a great pricepoint!
Bosch
Bosch appliances are another option that I recommend often! Although a little more expensive than Thor, they can give a custom look to your home!
GE Cafe
This series is becoming quite popular, and for good reason! Not only are these appliances great to work with, but they are also customizable! First, you select your main appliance finish: Matte Black, Stainless Steel, Matte White, or Modern Glass. Then, you select the accent finish for the appliance. These finishes include Brushed Stainless, Brushed Black, Brushed Bronze, and Brushed Nickel. These options truly provide a custom look for an affordable price.
Fisher & Paykel
If you are after a good deal, Fisher & Paykel may be the manufacturer for you! If you purchase a refrigerator with them, they provide the dishwasher for free! Another fun fact: Fisher & Paykel appliances are manufactured in the same facility as Wolf appliances. Purchasing from Fisher & Paykel can also provide you with more customization options, as their appliances come in different finishes, like white, red, and black.
Thermador
Thermador is a great choice for those of you building with a professional builder! Thermador offers a great discount for builders, which can then be passed along to you! Should you desire a double drawer dishwasher, Thermador is the brand for you!
Wolf
If Wolf appliances are what you are after, boy, are you in for a treat! When selecting Wolf appliances, an appointment can be scheduled for a professional chef to demonstrate how to use the appliances to their fullest potential. These appliances truly provide a top-notch culinary experience from the comfort of your own home.
