D-Day

Election Day was yesterday and it was time to make a decision. As we were all faced with who to vote for yesterday did you know we’re faced with an average of 35,000 decisions every day!? Now add a remodel or a new build you can double or even triple that number!  Sounds so fun, hu? 🤣

Decision fatigue is real. It can be a significant challenge, especially in a world where choices seem infinite. Designers are often inundated with an overwhelming array of options, from color palettes and typography to layout and user experience considerations. This constant decision-making can lead to exhaustion, ultimately impacting creativity and productivity. To combat decision fatigue, it's essential to establish a clear set of guiding principles or a design framework. By having a well-defined vision and constraints, designers can streamline their choices, focusing on what truly matters and aligning with the project's goals.

Additionally, taking regular breaks and seeking inspiration from diverse sources can refresh the mind, allowing for more innovative and thoughtful design solutions.  That’s why nature type vacations are so important to me personally.

MC solutions:

1. I always wear black tops. 🤣

2. We have a tried and true process to streamline and organize decisions.

3. We schedule meetings wisely to not overloaded our creative abilities or our clients.  Also in hard moments I do what I call, a “brain breath”.  It’s a way to let your brain breathe if we get stuck on a decision.

The way we make our decisions is like baking a cake; each “ingredient” at the right time to bring together all the decisions to curate something unique and tailored to you. In an era where authentic expression is valued, these strategies not only enhance efficiency but also ensure the work resonates deeply with audiences. It’s my desire that while you may be a little tired after a meeting, you also feel encouraged, had fun and accomplished by the choices we made together.
