2023 Interior Design Trends

A new year means new trends. So as our 2022 projects begin to wrap up, it’s time to trend forecast for 2023. Some trends will carry through this year, while others will be new. Here are ten design trends the Micah and Co team forecasts to be popular this year!

Wood Tones

Stained Details: wood accents and stains will continue to thrive this year!

Color

Patterns and bold colors: wallpaper and bold paint colors are here to stay. You'll find patterns and colors galore in this house!

In With The Old

True Vintage Style: vintage and unique statement pieces are all the rage. From stemware to a statement couch, vintage and antique items can be used to bring worldly cultures to your design.

Browns Are Back!

Browns: from cabinets to furniture, browns are taking 2023 by storm. People are looking for a more inviting and cozy color palette this year.

Keep It Curvy

Arches: arches were a staple in 2022, and they’re here to stay. Curves and archways anywhere in the home help to soften the feel of a space.

Mix It Up

Mixing metals: mixed metals are becoming more popular this year. Nickel, gold, chrome, and black can all be mixed to create unique looks, as long as it is done in an intentional way.

Dark Details

Dark kitchen: moody color palettes are on the rise. A dark kitchen will have its moment in 2023.

Textbook Textures

Textures: the perfect element to make a room feel complete is unique texture. Whether it is fur pillows, a chunky throw, or a bouclé accent chair, mixing textures will be popular in 2023.

Make A Statement

Statement stone: using marble to make a statement in a kitchen or bathroom, or on a fireplace, is also projected to be popular in 2023! The materials themselves will be the statement of the room.

Warm It Up

Earth tones: 2023 is going to be bold. The Sherwin Williams color of the year is Redend Point SW 9081. This color suggests that paint with warm undertones is going to be seen a lot this year.

We are excited to see these trends come to life. Let us help you implement them in your home! Leave a comment to tell us which design trend you are most excited to see this year.
