Your Cabinet Front Design Guide

Cabinet Design is One of Our Favorite Parts of the Design Process

Not only do we love the functionality well designed cabinets bring to a home, but they can instantly elevate a space! From changing up the cabinet front style, mixing fronts, playing with different wood species, or even utilizing off the beaten path materials, the limits are truly endless! Below are a few tips when it comes to mixing up your cabinet front styles:

It Costs Money, Honey

All those Pinterest pictures are so pretty, but those wonderful reeded cabinet fronts will cost you more than your standard cabinet fronts. Not to mention, there is such a thing as over designing a space; we see it way too often in the design world. Intention is the game when it comes to cabinet design… which leads us to our next point:

Location, Location, Location

If you’re going to invest the money into elevating your cabinetry, we want to put it somewhere that you will enjoy it every day! Living room cabinetry and powder baths are our favorite places to swap up cabinet fronts. Typically, you’re only talking 2-4 cabinet fronts in these spaces, which keeps the cost down and design impact high!

Trust Your Designer

It’s easy to exceed your budget with endless cabinet redlines and not being intentional with where and how you’re executing a design. That’s where we come in! We promise you; we know the perfect way to achieve the look you’re wanting and will probably save you a little money while doing so! Who doesn’t want to save money when building!?

She’s Got Style

Selecting a cabinet front style that best reflects your personal style is a way to make your home feel special. Raised panel and flat panel cabinet styles can provide a traditional feel to your home. Shaker, slim shaker, and slab front styles are a timeless, updated choice for transitional to modern homes. Louvered, fluted, reeded, and glass front cabinets can be used to elevate your cabinetry with a thoughtful touch.
